To match the right talent to the right position, or to help executives in transition determine their optimal career path, Executive Career Consultants employs the latest assessment instruments to clarify skills, interests, values, motivators and other personal characteristics.

Our experienced career counselors are certified and/or trained to create personalized assessments for individuals using a variety of state-of-the-art processes and tools:
  • Behavioral Interviews. This process uses case scenarios to assess skill sets relevant to leadership, motivation, interpersonal skills, decision-making, problem-solving, strategic planning, critical thinking skills, team-building and the ability to persuade and influence.

  • The Birkman© Report: This comprehensive, powerful behavioral and motivational measurement tool identifies strengths, underlying needs, stress behavior, interests, and organizational focus, as well as career orientation and management styles. Executive Career Consultants' Lisa Thompson, president and managing director, is one of few individuals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area certified to administer the Birkman Report instrument.

  • The Birkman© Coaching Report: The information in the report is interpreted Birkman scales for socialized behavior (Usual), expectations/motivations (Needs), and stress behavior (Stress). The report includes sections on communicating with others, interacting within teams, making decisions, relating to people socially and creating your ideal work environment, among others.

  • CPI 260® Leadership Report. This tool assesses strengths and opportunities for development of interpersonal behavior, social and personal values, cognitive needs and performance, and personal work-related characteristics.

  • The Leadership Effectiveness AnalysisTM: This 360-degree assessment process gives individuals feedback on their leadership approach from the perspectives of self, boss, peers and direct reports. It measures 22 behavioral leadership practices, grouped into six core functions: creating a vision, developing followership, implementing the vision, following through, achieving results and team playing.

  • MBTI® Step II Interpretive Report. This Meyers Briggs-based personality inventory identifies four important components of executive development: communication, change management, decision-making and conflict-management style.

  • Personal Directions®. This tool measures motivation, life architecture and quality-of-life variables. Personal Directions gives individuals clear and powerful feedback on how they identify issues, consider changes, set goals and implement changes that will improve their lives and work.

  • Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory: Particularly helpful for executives considering a dramatic industry or career change, this tool identifies likes and dislikes, interests, lifestyle, values and preferences as compared to those of individuals who display a high degree of career satisfaction.
